Camp NaNoWriMo

So, I have decided that I am going to try my hand at doing Camp NaNoWriMo.  It is very similar to the NaNoWriMo that happens in November.  National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing. On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30. (words from there website).  I feel like they say it best.

Anyway, Camp NaNoWriMo is very similar but two big differences.  One is that it takes place in April verses November.  The other on is that during camp, you can pick the word count goal.  It has to be more that ten thousand words to a million words.  I have never done camp before and I am super excited for trying this out!

So I will posting update through out the month on how things are going! I am also going to set up a a little widget about how far I am and things like that.

The goal of Camp NaNoWriMo is to get words on the page.  The average goal is about 1667 words a day if you are doing a 50,000 word count goal.  I think I am going to aim for this goal and get the words on the page.

I do have a project that I am going to work on during the month.  During this next week I am going to “finalize” my outline for the project.  I have a rough one that just has a series of plot points. I am going to work it out in greater detail and get the ball rolling on things.  So I am going to keep ya posted on the progress of the outline.

So, I thought before I go, I would share the links of my pages on the NaNoWriMo’s sites….  I thought you guys might want to check it out!
